So, today I am rolling out new pages on the website and new channels on the discord server in the interests of diversifying our community and giving us more fun and interesting things to talk about. I’m going to take some popular memes and make versions of them available in Irish and in Scottish Gaelic as well as English to be shared under the Craic menu tab here on the website.
On the discord server we now have a new category called Other Games with several channels for discussing games that are popular with our community. Maybe you’ll learn something new about a game you haven’t tried yet. Also, there are new channels under the Off Topic category in the discord server for books, movies and tv shows. So, hop on in and start a conversation or get involved in one that’s already going. I hope to see more socializing on the discord server and more fun in general around here. I know I have a lot of interesting and talented friends who can surely share some things with us. So come on, join in on the craic!
BIOLOGY EXAM:
This is straight from Scotland. Students in an advanced Biology class were taking their mid-term exam. The last question was, ‘Name seven advantages of Mother’s Milk’.
The question was worth 70 points or none at all. One student, in particular, was hard put to think of seven advantages.
However, he wrote:
1) It is perfect formula for the child.
2) It provides immunity against several diseases.
3) It is always the right temperature.
4) It is inexpensive.
5) It bonds the child to mother, and vice versa.
6) It is always available as needed.
And then the student was stuck.
Finally, in desperation, just before the bell rang indicating the end of the test, he wrote:
7) It comes in two attractive containers and it’s high enough off the ground where the cat can’t get it.
He got an A+.
