“A band that knows how to rock, but hasn’t forgotten how to think.”
Brian McNeill
Jiggernaut has been selected as a Regional Performer at the 2023 North Texas Irish Festival (NTIF), which just happens to be one of the largest Irish/Celtic music festivals in America!! They reportedly are feeling quite excited and honored to be invited back to perform and can’t wait to see all of their friends and fans again! For more than 20 years this band has been a part of the North Texas area Celtic music scene and a fine group of talented musicians they are! They have played at North Texas Irish Festival for years and looking further back they played Milwaukee Irish Fest in 2002, Grandfather Mountain Highland Games in 2005, 2021 and last year that I know of.
Also, Austin Celtic Festival in 2005. 2006 saw them at Walt Disney World’s Epcot Center then later in 2015 they played at the Weston Irish Festival. More recently they have made appearances at Texas Scottish Festival and at least one gig at Poor David’s Pub in October of 2022 that I’m aware of. I first saw bass player Rodger Harrison performing with his brother Steve Harrison in another band called the Trinity River Whalers at a small pub I used to frequent near my neighborhood when I still lived in Arlington, Texas. Occasionally the very talented and amazing fiddle player, Linda Relph would join them on gigs there as well.
A Band Of Few Words But Great Music
There aren’t a whole lot of words about them on their website or their Facebook Page. This is a band that prefers to let the music do the talking and it surely does at that. You can find them on Spotify if you would like to take a listen but for best results try to catch them live in a few weeks at NTIF!
